‘If you’re in a bad mood, go for a walk. If you’re still in a bad mood, go for another walk’. – Hippocrates.
We’ve spent the last few weeks putting our best feet forward and getting as many steps walked as we can for National Walking Month. We set ourselves our first Spacious Place Life staff challenge –to collectively walk 2.5 million steps during the month of May. We have a couple of days left to go and we’re almost there.
We’ve walked through grass, fields, mud and sand. Been up mountains, trekked across London and hiked through gorges in the Greek sunshine. We’ve walked with our dogs, our children and our families and friends. We completed a team expedition up Pendle Hill, taken plenty of lunch time walks around Burnley and made the extra effort to lace up our trainers and stretch our legs in the evenings.
Oh, and each of us have become experts in taking photos of our feet in interesting, weird and wonderful places.
We’re sure this will be the first of many Spacious Place Life challenges!
